14일, 서구에 따르면 이번 협약은 관내 고소작업 현장의 추락사고로 인한 산업재해 예방을 목적으로 현업 근로자에게 스마트 안전조끼 공급과 교육을 위해 마련됐다.

이번에 도입되는 스마트 안전조끼는 추락사고 발생 시 조끼에 내장된 센서가 위험을 감지하여 자동으로 에어백을 터트려 근로자의 신체를 보호하는 장비로 가로수 전지작업 및 조명작업에 우선 적용될 예정이다.

류한국 서구청장은“이번 스마트 안전조끼 도입으로 위험한 고소작업에 노출되는 현업근로자들의 안전이 한층 더 강화되길 기대한다”며“앞으로도 중대재해예방과 안전하고 건강한 일터를 만들기 위해 계속 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
